Introduction
Encoders are used to encode audio video signals and provides output in TS (Transport Stream) format. These TS can be MPTS or SPTS depends upon the configuration of encoder. Also these TS can be MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 encoded. The encoder’s input can be CVBS (Composite Video Blanking sync) or SDI (Serial Digital Interface).

Harmonic VIBE EM2000 SD Encoder Working
VIBE EM2000 SD Encoder is a Premium SD (Standard Definition) Encoder. It is high performance encoding device for broadcasting system. It contains powerful pre-processor which is pixel based. This processor is used to pre-analysis of video also used as smart filter. Which results high quality SD video in lower bitrate.
It provides ASI output as well as IP output in MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 (Advanced Video Coding) as per your requirement. It provides a very good feature where we can configure or encode each channel individually in MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 output. It is very helpful for satellite operators because it enable them to provide 2 more additional channels one single transponder. So it reduces the footprint and consume low power for channels.
VIBE EM2000 SD Encoder uses FlexService Technology. For low bandwidth consumption of services. It also enable us to control the volume of service. It also provides the facility to insert the logo.
This device have two inputs SDI and CVBS for encoding of audio video signals. It also have ASI input for the injection of subtitles. It have two more IP gigabit inputs. These are used for Transcoding.
It provides two IP outputs and ASI outputs. it supports the GOPs. It does advance video pre processing which helps in reduction of noise.
